the measure to extend the visa with a validity of three months has already been operational for years in Malaysia, and can certainly help tourism, but it must be checked so as not to generate abuse or anything else. However, it is not clear to me  why the extension of the visa does not also apply to other Western countries, France, Germany, the United States and other European nations that created the initial tourism in Thailand.

It's about reciprocity

They don't give Thai's visas easily so Thailand isn't going to give those countries extended visas easy

Canada just opened up visas for Thais more easily

Well they aren't even visas for qualified Thais(visited Canada in the prior 10 years)

So it's now easier for a lot of Thais to gi to Canada for extended visits than it is for Canadians to Thailand

I will be curious to see if Thailand extends the courtesy to Canadians

The Thai's should hang their heads in shame in relation to the Russian cowards,  who use this place as a sanctuary from the genocidal  actions of their criminal government, who rule in their name. disgraceful making it easier for Russians to stay here.

Isn't that all a visa exempt but not an visa extend story?

No visa needed for 90 days, soon, extended from the no visa needed for 30 days?
