I get that she is not their daughter by birth and realistically should have been told of her adoptive status but in all respect that actually matter they ARE her parents.

No one is adopted (by law)

But that would be a legal.problem, in case the siater and brother in law of her mother are having real , own,  kids and no will.

Also this is a common story, it seems.

Not all kids sre with the parents, of the mother, in case the mum cant take car, because of whatever

My guess is: To you at least!

So you don´t understand , that for an adoption, to be the CHILD of someone, to be legally the heir of their wealth, you need to be adopted by law?

Not just "taken in for/from the sister".

This could have given you an idea, how the "adoption" took place!

"After the birth of her child, she handed her over to her older sister to raise as her own"

Plus the next paragraph!

Or do you really think, that some legal adoption process got started?

-Thai inheritance law states there are six classes of heir and each one is entitled to inherit in order: direct descendants; parents; brothers and sisters of full blood; half-brothers and half-sisters; grandparents; and uncles and aunts. The surviving spouse is also a heir under certain circumstances-

Official adoption can ONLY be done according to the Law of the Land.
