Thailand needs to invest into industries not just tourism.  There are so many different industries they could expand on but they simply do not do so. They hold their development to close to the vest.  The new OM has the right idea. Bring new ideas and industry into the country.

Thailand already has a pretty decent manufacturing industry that I would think rivals or exceeds most of it's SEA counterparts 

 

Always good to look at new industries but they don't just rely on tourism
