I wonder how they build their forecasts. They have been wrong since 3 years at least.

China is under a serious economy drop, so bad, that the government decided to stop publishing the unemployment rate information (July 2023).

I doubt that visa relaxation will suddenly improve the situation and boost the spending capabilities of tourists ......

Visa free for the Chinese but no one else. In the UK post Covid, not have they chosen to keep the Regional Consulates closed, the Thai Embassy will no longer process Visas at the Embassy, now purely on  line which is fine if you are tech savvy but still a lengthy process. Hardly encouraging for non Chinese citizens.

CM is doing just fine without the obnoxious herds of noisy rude Chinese everywhere. Safer on the streets from them not here riding motorcyles too. Win win. I would even gather that the Chinese who stay here are happier without their country's people everywhere too.
