He said he was about to turn the vehicle around to deliver goods to the nearby Makro shopping centre when the pickup came speeding straight towards him and crashed

So, it was dark, but the truck driver did see the pickup first, after he was already turning?

Why do I have trouble, believing that?

Because the truck stands already towards the other direction, perhaps?

Am I a bad person that I think, despite the lights of the pickup coming quickly closer, the truck driver u-turned anyway?

Because he drove the bigger vehicle?

I hope they find some cctv footage!

I've honestly never been in a Chevy that I thought was a good car

C2 and C8.

And, funny enough, the Cruze from 10 years ago was not a bad car for the girlfriend.

Lesson learn. Never buy a Chevy pickup..

I assume, that is a grim sense of humor.

Since in reality, so survive a "speedy" dive unter a trailer, you would need a vehicle, that fits under it. And to have the luck, to cross, where they did hide in F&F, with also nothing mounted under that said trailer, like in the movies.

That is really one of the worst accidents, that can happen, it will always change a sedan, normal pick up truck to a  "convertible". Just not certainly cutting only the roof over dash boards height

22 wheeled truck? Was it a double trailor? I have a hard time believing a single trailor and truck having 22 wheels for a retail delivery. I think Guest1 has the correct scenario as the truck pulled a a no look jerk u-turn and killed these kids. Reaction from th pickup truck had zero defensive time.

You would hope that the truck had a video camera in it and it still works. The they can see exactly what happened. I don't know anyone's vehicle that doesn't have one nowadays.
