Well I understand your sentiment and I agree with you that Thaksin is possibly the only PM with intelligence this country has had since 1932.  However with respect to much needed educational reforms it was a shame that whilst helping much of the poor by providing them with the 30 baht healthcare system, he did nothing with respect to putting in a modern era educational system fit for the 21st century rather than what exists currently. Perhaps he would have done given more time. Time of course he was not given in 2006 by the gun toting generals.
