Sweepstake on how long he'll serve.....

Only if it is in days (or maybe hours). The deal would already have been signed and sealed before he boarded the plane in Dubai.

What a coincidence - a Pheu Thai Prime Minister is elected and a former Pheu Thai Prime Minister arrives back in the country to face jail on the same day. Absolutely amazing!

The Thai people won't realise what's been going on behind closed doors will they? This lot insult the intelligence of everyone, especially their own people.

I doubt he is going to spend much time in prison.  They will probably quietly release him after the dust settles with the new prime minister.

Pretty sure he flew in from Singapore.

The article didn't say where he flew in from, I assumed it was Dubai because that is where he has been holed up most of the time.

Not a very wise decision by Thaksin.  He has enough money to live anywhere he wanted . And at his age who wants to complicate the rest of their lives ? Whatever deal he think he has will not be honored .

He’s currently leasing the penthouse suite at the prison hospital, resplendent with all the conveniences he is accustomed to. He may not want to leave.

I doubt he will do more than weeks in the nick and even then he will never be in 'general population' but in far more luxurious accommodation

Anyone can confirm, that he is in a cell with 30 others?

Of course, no one can ever confirm such.

In worst case, he got a single bedroom in the hospital section, methinks

Nice tautology 😂

I owe that to noted American philosopher Yogi Berra. He also offers this in respect to the Thaksin adventure; It aint over till it's over.

I had to google him (didn’t know who he was), hilarious. Berra that is, not Thaksin!

My apologies, I've read so many articles on the subject - I forget where I read what.
