"Arisa and her employer had to file a complaint to the Labour Protection Network (LPN) and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in order to pressure the officers to search for the sex offender and pressure the rapist to surrender himself."

This despite the whereabouts of the sex offender being known! How bad do the Thai police need to be before someone finally says enough is enough and brings the whole corrupt disgraceful organisation to book?

Very sadly this is common in Thailand where a Burmese (foreigner) is involved as the victim. If she were the aggressor she would be locked up immediately and charged, they let the rapist go for a month and only acted when pressured! The police involved should also be charged for aiding and abetting a rapist!

This is the true feelings of many Thai's towards foreigners, especially the Burmese who they often consider a necessary evil in their country.

Yes, there is this sentiment in Thailand towards all foreigners, but we are more accepted if we have acclimated to a point. For the immigrants like this girl, they are concidered even below us.
