They 'estimated' her BAC as 0.35%? Using her weight and CCTV? This is wonderful news! This will take all the roadside breath test units off the road as they are no longer required - police will now be able to 'estimate' your BAC just by looking at you!

Does that sound sarcastic? It should do because this is nothing but bull excreta. I would hope that the husband is going to take this further and hopefully bankrupt this fly-by-night company out of existence.

No, but just the same as terribleas they used the bar bill and her weigh to approximate the BAC. This is utter BS. Bunch of snakes.

Article quote: The insurance company claimed her fall was caused by her excessive drinking, even though her blood alcohol level was never tested in the hospital.

Cover-More used the couple’s bar bill, CCTV footage and Kylee’s body weight to calculate an estimated blood alcohol level of 0.35 at the time of her fall – more than seven times Australia’s legal driving limit.

Pretty sure there would have been a blood sample with what they had to take from her. It would still have a valid BAC, but I bet they don't want to push any buttons that will show them up for the shysters they are.

Don't know them but you can read the reviews for yourself by the link provided. I am not saying either way good or bad, but for them to make an assumption of the woman in the article based on how they did it is a little underhanded. But then again I have read the small print on long winded travel policies and nothing seems ok on any of them as there always seems a way to wiggle out of something. Again, i am not saying odd or bad and stating neutral on the reviews.

In one of those reviews they answered that the policy will not cover over a certain %. Scroll down and you will find their reply, but the reviews self speak for themselves if you count them, Starts at 1 day and then goes to 4 months ago.
