Just stop believing in such things. As long as there is superstitious believes, such scam will continue to flurish. The best is just buy on simple amulet from the shops which is selling, take it to any holy place. Place the amulet at the foot or base of the shrine, pray sincerely and wear it. The amulet will be blessed by the holy spirits. No need to have a middle man to communicate with the almightly and pay huge amout of money. Afterall the middle man is also a human, who doesn't know his/her future.

Each of the Chinese nationals now faces potential penalties of up to five years of imprisonment, a fine reaching 100,000 baht, or both...

No mention of life restriction on entry following punishment and banishment? Oh - too soon after our new love affair with China to upset the applecart, hmm?
