The best time to travel in Thailand is between Nov till Mac the following year as the locals will not travel for vacation due to the school terms. Just avoid long public holidays and weekends...

Dumbest thing I have encountered in Thailand are school calendars that change by the day

At every level of schooling but especially University 

 

Zero thought that families need to plan ahead for events, holidays, etc...

 

And University is absurd

Almost never knowing when your finals are or when break starts and ends

 

In North America, you know the day finals start the 1st day you walk into school

 

 

Thammasat started semesters late July/August (again never knowing actually when)

 

Now, going onto Chulalongkorn 

Screw it, let's start in May!
