The woman and her husband had both originally received a shot of Sinovac to start their Covid-19 inoculation before switching to receive an AstraZeneca vaccine for their second shot. Probably worth noting the most important Sinovac side effect: It does not work.

GENEVA, July 13 (Reuters) - The World Health Organization's chief scientist has advised individualsagainst mixing and matching COVID-19 vaccines from different manufacturers, saying such decisions should be left to public health authorities.

"Individuals should not decide for themselves, public health agencies can, based on available data," she said in the tweet. "Data from mix and match studies of different vaccines are awaited - immunogenicity and safety both need to be evaluated."

A clinical trial led by the University of Oxford in the UK is ongoing to investigate mixing the regimen of AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines. The trial was recently expanded to include the Moderna Inc (MRNA.O) and Novavax Inc (NVAX.O) vaccines.  ……

Obviously the Thai Human Trial has been completed and they are satisfied with the Human Trial results. This person’s medical data was deemed within the realm of safety by the Thai Public Health Agencies.

Is this the same 39 year old female teacher from Prachuap who died after mixing Sinovac with AZ or another one.

AFAIK, the same.

On the face of it, it's likely she died from the vax. However this might be more akin to a case of someone mixing barbiturates with alcohol. The suspicion looks like vax mixing may be the culprit.

As it is the TH govs intent to give AZ to all who have had at least one does of Sino, that plan needs to be put on hold and stringent investigations carried out.

This has now led to anxieties about my wife. She is currently in japan visiting family. Prior to her departure she had her first AZ shot. Her brother who is a dentist, was able to get her signed up for Pfizer. Her mother was worried about her nd pressured her into taking the shot last Wednesday. She has high BP.

I phoned her consultant and he said "don't" and she will still need 2nd AZ jab when she returns. I passed this onto her, but with 60 mill women in Japan, I am the only one that has married one who doesn't think the man is the boss!

Considering the two vaccine types makes one wonder why Thailand suggests mixing them

I know TIT but still

One AZ .....is a chimpanzee adenovirus delivery

The other Sino ,,,,is a inactive virus type
