6 people arrested after police raid sex party at Bangkok hotel

Recommended Posts

Police raided an apparent sex party at a Bangkok hotel and arrested 6 people. The group was holding a birthday party at a luxury private pool suite at the hotel in the Ram Inthra district. They had apparently stocked up on liquor… and condoms. Officers seized 5 bottles of liquor, 9 bottles of beer, 6 bottles of soda, 2 opened condom boxes and 2 bottles of lubricant, according to the Royal Thai Police. The men and women were charged for violating the Covid-19 rules by gathering in large crowds and leaving the house during curfew hours. In Bangkok and other […]

Apparently all Thai men as the condom packets were 49 mm

Ahh, well this explains there being no one available to tend to the deceased elderly folks laying about in the streets.

It's all about priorities, and folks partaking in adult activities behind closed doors is near the top of the list.

Why does it matter what or how much alcohol they had, or condoms, or gel. 6 people instead of 5 staying in a hotel. Wow, how dare those hardened criminals dare to live a normal life. Ridiculous, has to be something else going on.

And someone thought it was Christmas …..

..... engaging in prostitution violates the Communicable Diseases Act in regards to the Prevention and Suppression of Adultery Act, Section 5.

Well, that's definitely a bit of "creative writing", narisasethi!

What "Prevention and Suppression of Adultery Act"?

Adultery is grounds for divorce in Thailand but it's not a criminal offence!

Maybe you meant the "Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act"?

... and no, engaging in prostitution doesn't necessarily "violate the Communicable Diseases Act"!

... and while they were arguably "promiscuous", which is a necessity for anyone to be found guilty of prostitution in Thailand, who said they met any of the other requirements?

Joking aside (which is fine)

Six people having a private party

Police bust in

No illegal substances

No unwilling participants

No commercial interests

Is there anyone here who is not shocked and outraged at this

How have we come to accept dystopia

For the jokers, if you tolerate this, your home and your children will be next

Well, for once I fully agree with @Stonker re this totally out-of-bounds police action of busting a private birthday party!

Condoms must be some sort of PPE.  " I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

You have worked yourself into a frenzy on the basis of your own assumptions and conjecture. The media release does make reference to the initial reason for the visit. If you consult with other reports, you will learn that the police had received a noise complaint and a report of there being under age minors present. The police had an obligation and a duty to investigate the possibility of child prostitution and to respond to the request from the hotel.

I expect that anyone with children would hope that the police would not turn a blind eye. Unless someone goes and verifies, they don't know, and in this case they did discover that the event was questionable as there were minors present.  And yes, an underage person is a minor and  there are child/minor protection laws in place in Thailand.  So how about you stifle and redirect your moral outrage at yourself because you are in effect advocating for child prostitution and underage drinking, because you are ignoring the fact that these were minors. And btw, it's not particularly  enjoyable to pay a premium price for a hotel stay, only to be next to a group of loud, noisy adolescents. Maybe if Beavis & Butthead and company had been more discrete and not caused a disturbance, the cops would not have shown up. Have you stopped to consider that the cops are making a fuss because the minors may have been acting like entitled spoilt brats?

Naw. I took the time to read the reports. It was reasonable police response to a legitimate complaint about noise and prostitutes. He turned it into a conspiracy to take away children and our rights.

In italics below, is the article that was linked,

Please tell me where it says

1. There was a complaint

2. The basis for assuming child prostitution (in a hotel open to the general public). This assumption says more about you than anything else

If I'm wrong, I'm happy to admit it, but it seems to me like you are inventing a narrative to go along with your seeming hatred of people having a good time.

The men and women were charged for violating the Covid-19 rules by gathering in large crowds and leaving the house during curfew hours. In Bangkok and other “dark red” provinces, tight restrictions are in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus including a stay-at-home order from 9pm to 4am, restrictions on interprovincial travel, non-essential business closures, and no gatherings of more than 5 people. Also, engaging in prostitution violates the Communicable Diseases Act in regards to the Prevention and Suppression of Adultery Act, Section 5.
