Good afternoon all! Looking for a decent mid-range 4/4 violin and would love some recommendations. I can only find cheap, factory produced garbage in Ubon... Google found a luthier in BKK (Franke Violins) but I can't find anything else.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Just have to search Google as in violin Thailand. Bangkok has several if you look. One is even at the Shangrila Hotel. Of course depends on your quality level and what country makes them, but I think should be no problem unless at this CV-19 time you expect wanting to try it out first. I play guitar and bass and always see how they feel before I buy them. I searched every shop in CM and then went back 3 -4 times before I bought basses, guitars and even a nice full size weighted keyboard for my daughter. Good luck.

Violinthai Violin Sale Violin Price Violin Cheap Violin Landwin,Jacobson,Fitness,Pearl River, Hofner, Scott Cao

Thank you, this site is EXACTLY what i was looking for! Franke has great violins, but his prices reflect the quality - HIGH! This has a much larger selection. Thanks again!

Hi

A bit off topic I guess, but if you like the violin then you would like 'Twosetviolin' on youtube.   Couple of young Oz professional violinists who like to have musical fun.

If you have not seen them do take a look.

They will never be as good as Himari

Looked at them from when they started, rather arrogant and not as good as they think they are IMO

Not as good at what? My point was that the two (Himari and Twoset) are so different as to be incomparable.  One is a child prodigy the other is about having fun (with a violin theme).

I don't think you have actually seen 'twosetviolin'.

Yes, I've watched a lot of their videos.

Twoset violin are two chaps who were both professional orchestra violin players who now make a living on youtube. Their videos are entertaining and educational.

Rob Landes is a meme violinist you might enjoy watching, however his videos are just blatant advertisements for whatever game company / stock company is sponsoring his vid. Worth a watch to hear him play though.

Davie504 is a bassist who does some great videos too.

How does the above square with your previous comment that they are arrogant and not so good?  Get a grip man!   Which one is it?

Posting a new comment to an old post does not make you look like you know what you are talking about.   It makes you look confused.

Hang in there mate.
