"In response to the recent surge in violence, the Pattaya Police will be implementing regular patrols in high-risk areas throughout the city"

What a shame that the Pattaya Police were not already carrying out 'patrols in high risk areas'. My guess is that rather than being any positive action by the largely useless Pattaya Police force this will turn out to be nothing more than a placatory 'sound bite' to keep locals quiet.

Nah they'll drive the pickup with flashing lights around those areas at appropriate times. 

Flashing lights so only total idiots are left to deal with.

Usually, drunk Farlungs who coincidently have more baht than local teen thugs anyway.
