Nothing will happen. An apology and a remorse with some cash will settle the family. The guy wil become a monk and will continue his life. Because, this is Thailand.

Age of consent in Thailand is 15. She was 14 so a minor and that is a crime. I think the cops cannot turn a blind eye to that or that a deal can be made.

Sexual Intercourse with a Minor

Section 277 explicitly states that sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 15 who is not the wife or husband shall be liable for imprisonment from four to twenty years. Children cannot consent to sexual intercourse and it is not an excuse.

I hope you are right but with the high level of corruption throughout all aspects of the Thai judiciary from the cops to the courts I wouldn't bet against a 'deal' being made.
