That bus looks exteremely old, but htat i not the probelm as it is usually a lack of upkeep on stuff like brakes or the driver not being up to par and should not be allowed to pilot any vehicle. There should alos be speical training for all public drivers for mountian roads before they are allowed to take on such conditions. Cannot bring the dead back.

The age of the bus is irrelevant to the physics of toppling over

More liky when loaded lopsidedly

I am pretty familiar with large vehicles and vehicles and their drivers in Thailand. Article stated going up hill so more than likely cut the corner to much or just ran it off the road. Loaded lopsided not sure where you came to that conclusion.
