Marble-eye Posted July 6, 2023 #314247 Share Posted July 6, 2023 After reading this story it did prompt me to lift the bonnet of the car and check if my battery was still there, good job I did as I noticed two lumps on the battery, I sent it away to get it checked and on its return one of the lumps came back positive. TWS60 Posted July 7, 2023 #314301 Share Posted July 7, 2023 Clearly not hardened criminal masterminds. Not an excuse for their actions, but can't help thinking they are skint and desperate, possibly abusing alcohol/drugs for a temporary escape, and this plan sounded good in the moment. Jeez, at least take the original shop stickers off the batteries. Hitting rock bottom does weird things to your mind.
