They're too unimaginative - either road vehicles or things like bikes and scooters motorised. Try an automated, self-operated version of the cyclos, you can ride in round Phnom Penh.

The seat is nicely reclined, good for the lower back, and there is a folding hood like a pram, keep the rain off.

Actually, you'd want a nice footrest as well, and some storage space, equivalent to a granny cart for shipping.

I remember reading an article which had the hassel, suffering and challenges that the EV owners are facing in  Thailand in getting an insurance policy for their vehicles. As such many are not happy with owning EV?
