I am very pleased to hear of this elephants return to Thailand. He deserves to live out his life in safety and comfort after 22 years in Sri Lanka and the sort of mistreatment he was subjected to there.

Thanks to our government and their allocation of resources, and all those involved in caring for Sak Surin, he is home safe.

You can still see the parked IL-76 at CM airport. Saw it today and should have taken a picture. Beautiful big looking plane.
