In Great Britain, this would not even make the news. On this site people bash Thailand for being criminal, and corrupt, and crimes underreported. Well call it a cultural difference. Young thugs in their teens and twenties attacking the mentally unwell, is taken for granted in the UK, but not in Thailand.

I would have thought that the fellow who obsessed  and was persistent in beating the other man was the mentally ill person.
