I will admit to having smacked a few wing mirrors over the years, mainly when i was commuting into central London by bike - always on cars that were being driven by people that obviously didn't need them as they no idea what they were there for.

As far as Thailand goes, I have never managed to figure out which lane you are supposed to drive or overtake in, and as far as motorcycles go it just seems to be wherever there is a gap big enough to get through - road or pavement.
