Blah, blah promise, blah, blah blah, promise..................   This farce has been ongoing since I first arrived in Phuket 20 years ago as an easy victim. Nothing has changed since. The ripoff is  with the airport approved limousine service  gem shop stops, or the charging of limousine fares and putting people in vans, or the taxis refusing to use the meter. It's all crooked and  the provincial authority  is complicit because it has not stopped the illegal practices.

The Limos were collateral! Or public show off "we are doing something"

It is only about getting rid of the private car competition.

Everything, that "steals" overpriced business from the legal taxis and limo services.

Who have to pay a fortune, to get the "exclusive right" at the airports!

They even would wanna get rid of the green plated cars, that customers are ordering from abroad. Or from the hotel pickups.

But there is really a legal problem!

Clamping down on Grab/Bolt while ignoring the elephant in the room with the Taxi mafia charging outrageous prices .

Phuket is run by the taxi mob and sadly it's not going to change any time soon unless they get a straight local government.

It’s high time the whole taxi scam business was clamped down on in all parts of Thailand it wouldn’t take a lot to do so but there is a distinct lack of enthusiasm from the authorities I wonder why?
