Skytrax World’s Best Airlines Award Winners Announced

Singapore Airlines has been voted the World’s Best Airline at the 2023 World Airline Awards. This is the fifth time that the airline has scooped the Airline of the Year title in the 23-year history of the awards. Qatar Airways ranked 2nd and ANA All Nippon Airways in 3rd place, out of more than 325 airlines included in the survey results.

I like all the Asian airlines on there

 

 

And I do quite like Delta for the US

They always seem to have new planes and their 1st class is pretty affordable

Out of focus but it looks ok.  In-flight meals can make or break long-haul, and I'm sad to say Qantas/AirNz fail miserably on that score.  SIA and Cathay both superb, even AirAsiaX at extra cost of course.

To be honest I don't care one bit about the meal.

If it's good, bonus

 

If not, I don't care

I always bring nuts and some other snack like that

 

Plus if I am traveling to Asia I'm looking forward to eating the food on ground

 

 

My wife, of course, puts a lot of weight into if the food is good or not 555

I felt the hostess boobs on ANA and she giggled ( I was sleeping and she leaned over me and I thought her white apron was a pillow 5555)

 

 

So that airline is ok for me.

Qatar and Singapore Airlines I would both rate as top for Business Class - way, way better than my old employer, British Airways, who I rate these days as scarcely better than the average low cost carrier.

Nice to see my old airline near the top. Not really a surprise as they are one of the best in strategic planning, customer service, safety and in the treatment of their employees.

Air Asia ? No; poor safety record; multiple crashes with full wipeout! 

Turkish ? Not European ; probably KLM, FINN or Scandinavian airline.

Eva ? Yes , flown excellent Premium Economy LDN - BKK a few times ! 

USA Airlines? all rubbish, like voting for best customer abuse ! 
one reason will never return to USA ; with very rude Immigration; misplaced superiority complex; very unsafe ; many lunatics and ignorant simpletons …; angry violent place; ruined for good

Some US airlines are pretty good.....until there are issues and then it just sucks 

 

 

But I agree with you mostly 

One of the pleasures of Thailand and South East Asia is that flying isn't a nightmare

It's actually pleasant 

 

When I have to fly in US/Canada I look at it as something I need to get through with it

 

When I have a flying day in Thailand it just isn't stressful at all
