"Firmly committed to..." to what? Saving soldiers' lives? Commendable, but what happens when they leave? The same as you see elsewhere in the world; the very people they have been stopping suddenly overrunning the entire area. Is this another way of placating the moslem terrorists who want a moslem state in a Buddhist country?

Perhaps they need to consider a 'contract army' to police the area. They can't do any worse.

I hope there is more to this 'plan' than just pulling out the troops. If not then the terrorists will just have a nice secure base to build on with no protection for the 'ordinary' citizens who will end up being subjugated or driven out. How long then before the terrorists decide they want to expand a bit further north?
