The ‘alternative lottery’ is organized by local bosses in every village, town and city throughout Thailand twice a month and the police take their cut. I had a girl friend who’s never had to work because of the commission she makes twice a month.

Another day another story of police corruption.

When is someone going to publicly admit what every citizen in Thailand knows that the Royal Thai Police is an institutionally corrupt organisation which needs drastic culling and long prison sentences for ALL police officers involved in even the most minor corruption.

Pay the police a good wage on the understanding that corruption will NOT be tolerated and will incur very severe sanctions.
