What a surprise a ladyboy steals from a farang on beach road at night. This is such a regular occurrence (though it makes a change that the victim is Turkish not Indian) I wonder why the police do not actively patrol and target these criminals?

How much of this is real and how much is an insurance scam?  I read that some East Indians may be faking these thefts and selling the gold so they can collect insurance on it back home.

"East" Indian tourists insure their gold chains in Thailand? Any insurance company so stupid to offer such cover. Do they accept hugs from strangers on the beqach in India?
