This is of great concern.  Were all of those who tested positive also vaccinated?  I wonder if any of them might have entered using false vaccination documentation....

Or contracted it on the plane more like

Vaccination has its limits but also remember the virus takes time to incubate, And you could get tested in that window and show negative but get caught up on latter test.

Until they find one that stops transmission and catching Covid you have to live with the virus and maybe on the same level of the common cold.

Which means lockdowns and Quarantine is here to stay for a very long time but the question is can any country survive doing this or take the leap on just opening up to save the economy and live with the deaths.

Are people still not getting it? Can we not see the fact that double vaccinated people are being tested is simply ludicrous, when we were all promised that lives would be returned after vaccination! Could it be they lied to us?

But there are other variants now. They didn't know that when the Governments set out their plans.

Similarly, one of my returning Thai friends spent 14 days in BKK quarantine and now, having travelled home to Krabi, is being forced to spend another 14 days in quarantine there. Conditions in the latter are not great.

So the government scammers are being even handed and not just scamming foreigners but their own kind too.

Of course some vaccinated people will test positive. The vaccine is not a cure, it just lessens the severity of the illness and reduces likelihood you will end up hospitalised….or worst case, dead. But rest assured, vaccinated people will still catch Covid from time to time. So why is it such a concern that some vaccinated travellers are testing positive? Most of the islands residents have now been vaccinated too so let’s stop the fear mongering, stop the daily case counting and get on with life and get Phuket businesses back up and running for vaccinated tourists and locals alike to enjoy!

If the Phuket residents were vaccinated and i mean if, and all the tourists are definitely vaccinated and tested both in their own country and on arrival how can this be happening?

well someone has to be blamed, when only 4% have been fully vaccinated

Correct Ronin. You cannot carry on locking down, depriving people there and there family's incomes and way of life, how long will you wait till its safe 3, 6 , 9 , Monthe's. We in the UK have accepted this, that's why we are now fully restriction free. We will not hit the panic button because infection rates are going up, we know and understand the risk's but you cannot keep waiting and watch business's go to the wall never to reopen. You cannot heap stress and mental issues on the population because of there income being stopped.

Europe still let peoples travelling for summer holidays, October will be the pick of the 4 waves they know it already. well Thailand is taking the same path i would say. from this point in time and at this rate, i am even not sure to be able to come back to Thailand in 12 months time.

Thai Airways are putting un tested Thais on the same flights as farrang who require one, Heathrow.

A simple, 100% effective solution to that, is NOT to fly with Thai Airways. I would never consider flying with any airline that accepted unvaccinated travellers, not a chance.

there is no airline that will have vaccinated passenger only, most check for PCR tests,
at some European countries a rapid antigen test will do too even for a flight,

it is nearly impossible for airlines to transport vaccinated only,

and it is against all people not infected and did not have a chance to get 2 jabs

if you have a wife or girlfriend in Thailand, she can fly to Europe without vaccine,
without quarantine on arrival, PCR test or rapid test will do,
and this is a human right to travel with usefull restrictions,
you cannot keep 80% or more of the world to stay home
