What about the misery of noise polluting vehicles, which makes living in Bangkok extremely unpleasant. Chadchart made many promises when he took over and after 3 months in the job he just became another yapper, full of cheap talk.

45 new laws specifically related to the BMA in parliament. One of these proposed legislations would require, for the first time, the election of district chiefs in Bangkok.

I am wary of more laws and more politiions being sold as a solution to a problem.

Not even in office yet and he's promised to fix all that's ailing Thais and Thailand. Talks too much even though he's currently unable to do anything. Young, inexperienced, and arrogant. It'll be a miracle if he actually makes it into office as PM.

Let’s hope he at least tries to put things right it has to be better than before but when exactly will he be allowed to take up his elected position?

Not fix per se, attack. You can't fix what isn't yet known. From experience, half the trucks in Bangkok should be taken off the road until they have an efficient exhaust system. This also goes for pimped-up pick ups that look good but apparently don't need a head gasket because they spew so much smoke on acceleration.

45 new political entities? Great! Where does the money come from to pay the staff? Maybe the Governor's office will be downgraded to ceremonial and he only needs a secretary and ADC?

Good luck to him in his laudable ambition, however I fear he is doomed to failure as even the existing traffic laws are not enforced.

Maybe a cleanout of the swamp up near the top of the head shed might help and give a message to the beat cops that they need to get off their collective posteriors and start doing the job they are paid for - no, I mean the one that goes into their bank account from their employer (the people of Thailand) and not the brown envelopes delivered surreptitiously by Chinese, Burmese and Malaysian criminals.

Don't hold your breath; election of the PM isn't scheduled until 3 August and it isn't a lay-down misère. the PM will be appointed (regardless of party) by vote of both houses. The military coup-appointed senators still have their vote and do you think they are going to bite the hand that feeds them?
