May be the western man needs some lessons regarding Thai law. Just put him in Thai prison for few weeks to experience it.

Why the is this being reported as an attack? from what it sounds like the Chinese man crashed into the girlfriend and attempted to flee - essentially a hit and run - they managed to catch up to him and subdue him. The video does not show an attack - the falang is not kicking or hitting him except making sure he stays on the ground waiting for police to arrive.

If anything this should be celebrated with a hit and run driver off the road.

Between the gf's reaction and the falang wearing a uniform there is something suspicious about their actions.  We don't know the whole story as to whether it was a hit and run either.

You should follow your own advice. Casting aspersions on a person is illegal. This isn't Malaysia where innocent people can be thrown in prison and held without charge. There is nothing in the video recording that suggests that the  elderly foreign male did anything wrong. What we do have is an allegation of hit and run. If the allegation is correct, shouldn't the Chinese national be put in jail ?

What uniform? The elderly male is wearing a dark jacket with an insignia. When I was in Venice Beach California, I purchased Orange T shirt that said  inmate. It was a copy of prison shirt. Many Thais walk around with FBI hats and shirts.

I think what we have here is the typical foreigner  bad driver, perhaps drunk, who is involved in a collision or near collision, who then takes off, The other driver gives chase and holds the  absconder waiting for the Police. The elderly foreigner is the victim.

Oh so quick to blame the white farang... I tend to believe the girlfriend... maybe some investigative reporting will play it out the way it actually happened... and of course the Thai woman who recorded it and wanted to show the inappropriate acts of some foreigners will give an apology and wei to the foreigner who was not inappropriate.
