Will be interesting to see how things unfold once (and if) the casino opens as planned in 2029. Polling indicates 50/50 for and against the project among Osaka residents, something I find incredible as I’ve never met a supporter. No idea why not.

I’m all for it. Build the damn thing and get the (Chinese) punters in. A lot of conservative Japanese folk worry about the spread of gambling addiction, overlooking the fact that Japan is one of the most gambling-infused nations on earth, with their pachinko parlours, boat, bicycle and horse racing tracks.

I had to google that. Unless you are heavily into engineering I see little point in winning ball bearings.
