Good article. I don’t think I’d ever live in Bangkok, but if I did and was free to choose the location, I’d probably go for Ekkamai, which made the list.

Close enough to Swampy, everything you need, not a huge number of short term visitors.

You failed to mention the Riverside around Charoen Nakorn Road, there is quite an expat community here and many new condos. Great area with Icon Siam and Asiatique. Very general article.

It is a great area and where I would choose to live or on the other side in Thonburi

 

The area around Charoan Nakorn Rd has exploded with great restaurants, it's like the hipster scene of Bangkok now, it seems
