Elon Musk vowed to make Twitter the “most accurate source of information about the world,” yet he has repeatedly used his own account to amplify false claims from some of the internet’s most notorious disinformers, as demonstrated by an AFP analysis of his online activity. Musk’s posts display a penchant for drawing attention to misinformation …

The story Musk’s Twitter activities contribute to spreading misinformation as seen on Thaiger News.

As I've just said about your colleague Scott, I don't read Thaiger to get the politically biased opinions of reporters like you.  I simply want news reporting.  Who do you think you are to believe that your opinion is worth us all reading about?

This switch of emphasis in Thaiger will turn many readers away.  Remember this guarantee - if you go w o k e, you WILL go broke.  Works every time, no exceptions.

Get on a news channel, not on a news comment and opinion forum then.

His opinion is just that. His opinion on a chat forum.

Welcome here more than your righteous holier than thou, negative comments. 🙄

It's not an opinion, it's fact

Musk puts out so much disinformation and that is a fact

Just recently on Tucker Carlson he spread this misinformation but he does so daily, pretty much

I agree to most of that

But I don't agree with anything politicians say about anything!! Especially politics

I don't often agree too much with Musk and I agree a bit more with Pederson but still disagree often

But they are intelligent men

Rogan, who I think is a great guy, is just a dummy trying to be smart

He so often starts things with "I heard" without any real knowledge about the subject

And with the massive audience he has, I think that is irresponsible

Yes. My further point is that generally anybody’s opinion outside their field has no more value or validity than any persons’ opinion in street or bar. And there is no time for us to validate such.  Some fool on Twitter may indeed be a military or economic genius but it’s 10,000 to 1 odds and no time to validate 1000 folk not obviously experts by reputation. Fact Checking is interesting in this regard and tends to prove my point here.

So on Ukraine War for example  I listen only to former NATO General Officers.  On Disease I attend only western subject professors. The media they appear on doesn’t matter as I receive their comments directly.

On Sport I read only the top writers by reputation or the most intelligent former top players like Driscoll or Healy on Rugby or Johnson on Track. Football players are clearly so universally dim I pay them no mind at all.  Other than expert political commentary or top sports writing I have no interest in “middleman” journalists.

Problem with this reasoning is, that, for example, psychology is relevant to tbings such as politics. And knowledge of politics, requires knowledge of fields such as economics.

"Listen to the experts" is lazy thinking. It also allows oneself to escape blame, if one is wrong - that their wrongfulness was the fault of said experts.

There ain't really an alternative to judging facts for yourself. Daunting though it might be, you can't substitute anything for learning stuff yourself.

Ok, you disagree. What exactly was FACTUALLY incorrect? the author provided actual examples such as;

1.  a fabricated CNN segment

2.  a phony quote he dubbed “wise words

3.  a false claim that police escorted a rioter through the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

4. promoted a post blaming mass shootings on LGBTQ individuals

5. endorsed a fake casualty count from Ukraine.

6. actively promoting spurious claims about vaccines causing miscarriages and heart problems. (None of these claims has been supported by actual clinical evidence)

Six examples of Musk intentionally misleading. How is it W()ke to provide illustrations of intentional wrong doing? If the examples are incorrect, please identify which ones.

Musk is a talented conceptual thinker and brilliant at recruiting and motivating the intellectual capital to bring his  ideas to fruition. However, as a father, a husband, a humanist and a business manager, he is awful. His ego does not allow himself to accept that he has weaknesses and he must continually provoke and irritate people to reassure himself that he is the  smartest man around. As a result, he makes outlandish claims, not because he believes they are true, but because he wants to upset and provoke others.

When grown adults use phrase like "w%ke go broke" like they are 15yr old boys you aren't going to get any sort of intellectual debate from them....
