Wow, officers will not ignore the case. That girl could be dead. In my book that is attempted murder. How is it even possible that he out on bail. How much is the bail?

Literally torture and attempted murder, and they let him out on bail?!? This is exactly why Thai guys have no problem attacking and abusing their girlfriends and exes - they rarely pay the price for their actions. Hopefully this psycho will end up in jail for a long time - he earned every minute.

It seems a hard feat to drag someone behind your scooter, not that I doubt that it occurred. He should be in jail, unfortunate that he is allowed to wander the streets. If she has male friends then they should be doing some as s kicking of their own.

So he's out on bail for brutally torturing and nearly killing someone?  Sometimes the blatant lack of common sense in Thai law is staggering.

There is a steady drip of stories like this. It seems Thailand is a walk on by society the same as now seems the case in England. I would never ignore a situation like this, But it seems that I am a dying breed.

Interfering and stopping a domestic abuser in Thailand is a lose-lose-lose situation. Best case scenario the guy will knock you out, worst case you will win the fight and he'll come back with a gun. Either way he will take it out on her even worse later.

When it comes down to it - it is the victim's responsibility to seek help - but they don't - because they think they're in love with this person who's hurting them, so they "forgive" again and again. I've seen it happen with a dancer friend whose boyfriend kept stalking her and dragging her home while she was out drinking/working. One time a guy stood up to him and promptly got knocked out. We told her many times she needs to leave the guy if she wants to keep her job - she kept making excuses and acting like it's no big deal - then eventually she quit the job. Can't help those who won't help themselves. Hope she's not a future statistic.

And what if this was your daughter or sister, I`m sure you`d have a whole different opinion.

They were followed by people for 1 kilometre and no one tried to stop that maniac.

I wager the people were filming this spectacle on their phones.

This is how it is today, people will film first and maybe come to assist later.

So the mother of this piece of s#@t asked the victim to drop the charges. would she be so keen to turn a blind eye if it was her daughter that was dragged down the road.

Her behavior towards her son is probably why he feels that it is okay to treat someone in  this way.

The attitude of spoiling boys rotten creates this abusive behavior towards women that we see over and over.

I have two teenage boys and have raised them to respect women, and they do. I have never seen them even raise their voice at a girl/woman and their mother tells me that they behave the same way when they are with her, I wish more people would raise their children the same.
