The ease with which these people can  kidnap and extort is terrifying. It's the Latin America disease. And I would be despondent to see   Thailand end up like that, with walled/gated communities  with armed guards and a need to have an armed escort and an armored car, like the wealthy must have in Jburg or Manila. I hated working in Manila for that reason.  Yes, i know he was a wanted fellow, so an easy mark, but still what about wealthy older people who are vulnerable?  Not a good scenario.  The police didn't solve this. It was the victim's friend who took action.

Amazing Thailand- he was giving her 100k a month. She could've just kept happily collecting every month. Instead she chose to kidnap him for a pretty small amount (when split 6-ways). Now she's lost her cash cow AND her liberty. May they all rot in jail.

There is something to be said about being careful who you disclose things to - there's never a reason to confide in a girl (especially not a gold digger) how much you make/own or if you're doing anything illegal. (which of course you shouldn't anyway!)
