As humans every one needs a break from their stressful life. Soldiers are also humans. If such things can bring some relaxation for them in their stressful mechanical life, they why not encourage them to do so. After all they are not killing or hurting anyone. Nor do they are drug addicts or alcoholics. Just let them do something which makes them and the people around feel at ease and relaxed.

It is a regime guise and they should not be doing it in uniform. As one comment says, totally Fake.

Agree that they should not do it in uniform. But is there any law in Thailand which prevent others that those  who are authorised to wear the uniform? It is freely available everywhere and people are using that to fake and cheat people. If they really talk about uniform, then there should be strict law on the use of uniform.

Sadly that is a very poor attitude to take. There is no reason to decry a very positive action by members of our armed forces to allow people to see a fun side to military life - why not!?

Exactly why should they not do it in uniform? They are promoting a positive view of the army - that is the whole point of this exercise - and obviously, it must be condoned by the command.

So you don't agree with Service personnel interacting with the general population as a promotional tool? Like a Military band performing at say a football match?

I believe anything that promotes a positive image of defence personnel is worthwhile.
