Better than not giving a rat's a s s I guess. My wife got a chunk of razer sharp ceramic in her food last week, which would have been quite nasty if she had swallowed it. The restaurant was very apologetic and accepted it was a kitchen error. They offered a free meal, which my wife declined and my wife ordered from them again today..customer loyalty at its best.

This happens sporadically all over the world. Where exists mounds of edible ingredients, you will find scavenging commensal, like mice and rats. And they do lose bits, in machinery and in fights. Food safety standards work as quotas, not guarantees of 100% cleanliness, this being unattainable.
