They were conned by evil depraved Indian pimps and their Thai enablers. These women are promised jobs as real masseuses or cleaners at  upscale Indian facilities and then when they arrive they are violated. There is no escape because the disgusting and evil Indian criminals who run these places treat the women as their possessions. India is a country known for its culture of rape and mistreatment of women. There is little assistance for impoverished , powerless victims of  sexual abuse in India.

In an ideal world, all of the customers would be publicly identified and asked in front of their families and public, why they engaged in the abuse and violation of innocent women. Then they would be flogged and branded as abusers. The Thais who aided and abetted  should be  publicly identified and put on national TV and asked  by the general public to read out the accounts of abuse and to explain why they made it possible.

Were they "rescued" or were they arrested?

Seems that the writer may be assuming something that hasn't been demonstrated.

Money spinner is gone, risks of being put behind bars and definitely change their stance to "Rescued"

No doubt they went to India knowing very well what jobs they're walking into. Not so much "rescued" as want/need money and willing to work for it.
