"The man then mentioned the 76 Garage restaurant and bar in Bangkok, which is popular among Chinese netizens because it uses sexy male models to serve food and entertain customers. He blamed the restaurant for using hot Thai men to lure Chinese women into prostitution. He also reckons that these sex workers would later lure Chinese men into Thailand where they are kidnapped and killed for organ trafficking." (from the article)

Wah!

I never expected that the Chinese people would figure out Thailand's Secret Master Plan so quickly!

It just goes to show that you can't fool any people at any time.

😎

(sadly, I must point out that this post might contain sarcasm. Er... maybe)

Propaganda for the weak-minded.

Someone should tell the Chinese, "Hey, if it's so bad, stay away. Oh, and take your criminals with you."

They would only be missed by the TAT.

The claim of Thailand becoming dangerous for Chinese has validity. It’s too bad the author of this story failed to mention the pending case against immigration police whom kidnapped a wealthy female Chinese tourist. This should concern all of us, particularly those holding lots of cash in a Thai bank account.

Everyone has the choice where to travel. If they feel Thailand is dangerous for them, then please don't come to  Thailand. No one is going to die in Thailand if Chinese tourists did not come. I would say that it would be more competitive without them as the prices will be within control and others have more bargaining power. So just a humble request to Chinese tourists form China....."PLEASE DON'T COME. THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND FOR THE REST OF THE TOURISTS IN THAILAND"

Article quote: It began when a Chinese media agency published an article on March 13, which reported that travelling in Thailand had become three times more expensive than in the past and Chinese people will be unable to visit the country as frequently as they used to.

And this is a bad thing? Do us all a favor and have the majority don't come. There will still be some Chinese coming and this is the best outcome and balance that is needed.

Oh pish posh. CM even has these places that cater for the gals. Lures them into prostitution? Does he mean that the gals buy the guy out for some hunky hanky panky? What a rude prude.

And the only organ touched are the ones getting fondled and drained ending up with satisfaction of oh my! And that is debatable for if at all.

The man claimed that criminal gangs had moved their bases from Myanmar and Cambodia to Thailand, where they joined with anti-Chinese groups from Western countries to target Chinese people.
REALLY? More than likely these criminal gangs were Chinese. The criminal gangs in Burma and Cambodia are almost always Chinese that are involved in human trafficking, drugs, casinos and every other illegal activity. This is nothing more than an anti western and Thai article and I doubt very much his authenticity.

Exactly. I do believe more Chinese gangs are trying to base themselves in Thailand - hence the recent cases of kidnapping etc we've heard about recently - but this has nothing to do with Thai or western anti-Chinese groups. As far as the rest of the claims - completely made up bull**** - zero chance any of that (except taxis overpricing) is happening.

But the bottom line is that if this causes less Chinese to come to Thailand - good. The situation before Covid was out of control and they were drowning every tourist spot raising prices and deteriorationg...everything. Also- inflating condo prices with vacation rentals. I'm not against vacation rentals in general - but not when it's so massive that it inflates prices for locals.

Have to agree with this, the less tourists from there the better.  Talk to any Thai people that work in tourism and they feel like these tourists treat them bad and look down on them as if they are better than them.

Many of the hotels, restaurants, bars, KTVs, etc are owned by Chinese in Thailand. High prices are set by these chinese profiteering owners.

Many of these organized scams, prostitution and trafficking are operated by Chinese in Thailand.

Why complain? I would have thought the Chinese would have gotten used to it in their own country.😀

Mainland Chinese tourists in Thailand - or anywhere - are the worst behaved and most obnoxious of all travellers. They ruin tourist areas with their uncivilized and arrogant behaviour. You don't see that with Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, Singaporeans, etc. Only Mainland Chinese. Stay home then and spit and shout as much as you want.

Who cannot agree that tourists, not only Chinese, are marked. Ripoff the tourists seems to be standard practice across Thailand now. I arrived here in 1981 and have remained constantly since 1985. Thailand of 40 years ago and now is not comparable.

There we go, it's the "anti-China Western forces" again. Never mind that these "criminal gangs" are actually operated by mainland Chinese.

So his post would have been way more accurate if he simply said "Chinese people, don't hurt other Chinese people in SE Asia". But there would be a certain loss of face in that, plus no wumao-wannabe points to be scored.

It is those damned running dog Yankee imperialists again. Most the post is more like a parody of all those crackpot YouTube conspiracy theory videos, the only credible point is the one about the taxi rip-offs (Thailand is not the only offender, but it is one of the worst).

Intricate vacuum system. Or if not Chinese owned then there is a set up to take groups to certain places like restaurants and novelty stores by bus companies or drivers where every one gets a cut. Can easily see it in CM. sort of like the old Tuk Tuk in Bangkok scams taking you to gem outlets and tailors so they can get a cut in low quality high cost stuff.

Sadly, the Chinese misinformation campaign goes unchallenged. They use the basis of defending against "anti China" sentiment to justify their lies. There is a double standard applied here by Thai authorities: if a westerner did this the RTP would deploy massive resources to track down and to villify the westerner. I have the impression that because it is Chinese mainlander, Thais cower in deference and fear of their economic masters.

Yes, costs have increased, but it is not Thailand's fault alone. Ask Mainland Xi  to stop supporting Putin's war and economy may stabilize. Costs are up everywhere and. mainland Chinese have imposed some of the largest increases on their exports.

Very unfair attack on Thailand and its people who bend over backwards to  accomodate Chinese visitors. Chinese are very demanding, but can't even manage a smile or a thank you to hard working Thais.

There are plenty of well documented incidents of mainland Chinese behaving badly in Thailand. I think it is the big tour groups, where a herd mentality takes over, that are the problem.

I'm wagering you are either a Chinese government bot or haven't ever been around groups of Chinese tourists, like many of us have.

When drunk they are loud, obnoxious, disrespectful and disgusting.  When their kids need to use the toilet, they'll just drop their pants on the side of the road or sidewalk and let go.  Areas that are heavily traveled by Chinese tourists are often covered in globules of spit that they constantly hawk up and just expel where ever they are.

They are well known for arguing with business, restaurant and tourist agency operators for any slight they feel they've had.

That's not including the grey businesses owned and operated by Chinese that have recently been found operating illegally and with drugs aplenty for their Chinese customers.

I understand that hotels, tour operators, resorts and even stores need tourist income and they put up with this crap for that reason.

In my travels I have never seen a group of people as poorly behaved as I've seen many Chinese.

China, in particular  Xinjiang, is probably the centre of the world for organ harvesting. He's been listening to too much CCP propaganda.
