No thanks. How techno ever became relevant leaves one to wonder. Would rather listen to whale sounds on a loop.

Techno is a denizen of drug fueled beta males who think they have an identity. Of course what happens after the drugs wear off is they go back to just being total nobody's however they will take any opportunity in a bar to tell you about how they "owned" some rave somewhere. Everyone was just totally amazed by them dancing and how you should let them pick the music on the jukebox. No.

Just before they ask you to buy them a beer because mommy is not sending enough money.

Short of vegans there is probably no-one I would rather not have sit next to me.

I am not going to disagree with you one bit as this type of person of the salivating brain dead generation of techno boppers who more than likely have fad tattoos, piercings because everyone else does have zero idea of real music .

Back in my day I was a Grateful Dead head and travelled to see them, but Love them or hate hate them, at least it was real. But I also took in shows like Dizzy Gillespie, Neil Young, Who, Yes, Fleetwood Mac, B-52's to you name it even like Dianne Warwick to Hank Williams Junior to say the least. Too long of a list to go into. Techno schmeckmo is utter crap. Even my parent's generation of music was far way above theirs coming from the greats of the greats. I will go to say I even place rap miles above techno.

Indeed. The bands I went to see were of astonishing quality. The Rolling Stones. The Black Crowes. Jeff Healey (utterly superb and a genius who was taken far too early from us). Rory Gallagher. Oh I could go on.

I even went to see bands I was not actually fond of like U2 and Meatloaf just for the experience.

But all of them gave value for money live performances. Going to a venue to "see" a techno DJ who simply plays a prerecorded tape of someone else's music he has ripped is utterly asinine. But the drugs help.

Lot of folks showing their generation here, and there's nothing wrong with that per se. Just people sharing their opinions of what constitutes good music.

Can't speak for other countries but the Acid House scene of the late 80s and Rave scene of the early 90s in the UK was just as generation defining as anything that came before in the 60s, 70s or 80s. Just because 'you' don't get it doesn't make it bad.

Dance music in the UK did far more to help race relations, and curb football violence in the 80s and 90s than any government policy ever did.

Sterns in Worthing, Labyrinth in Dalston, Sunrise, Genesis, Friends for life.

It's easy to mock something when you know nothing about it.

Yeah. Lots more on the bands same as you, and you know what I mean. But the drugs were fun too. Back then ofcourse.
