Yes people with O negative blood (self included) have drawn the short straw when it comes to receiving O neg blood, but on a more positive side (pun intended) everybody else can accept O neg.🥺

O negative is quite rare as far as I’m aware. Here in Japan, blood types are a common small talk question “By the way, what blood type are you?”… 

There is a minority (conspiracy?) theory that those with neg blood types are descended from aliens 👽 🤔
