While Thailand’s Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith insists that the troubles faced by some major US banks have had no impact on Thailand, people are still worried because a number of experts said that before the financial crisis in 2008.

The high-profile economist Nouriel Roubini, known as Dr Doom for having predicted the 2008 financial crisis, warned that while Sillicon Valley Bank’s collapse had a “ripple effect” on the financial sector, any potential failure by Credit Suisse could prove to be a “Lehman moment”, referring to the collapse of the US investment bank Lehman Brothers in August 2007 that sparked the global banking crunch.

A third world war that somehow has already started, food and energy prices going through the roof, food banks demand in "rich" countries is at the highest ever, "poor" countries... well (https://www.imf.org/en/Blogs/Articles/2022/09/30/global-food-crisis-demands-support-for-people-open-trade-bigger-local-harvests), etc... And now this. And we, populations of the world, we are in the hands of our governments and the oligachs behind them as if we were watching a bad movie. They seem to be doing a good job in attempting to make an already messy world to a disastrous one. But should people really be worried?

As per Newton's third law of motion.....for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. US wanted to cripple Ruble and Renminbi. But in the end they dig a big hole for themselves. US wanted to control the oil price and directed Saudi to increase oil production. But Saudi showed middle finger. US try to gather a group to control the escalating oil price by releasing reserve. In the end it also backfired. Eventually it agitated Euro to boycott Russian crude oil and Gas supply which the Euro blindly followed initially only to realize that US really played a dirty game from behind by blasting the North stream and increasing the price of Gas supply to Euro. God is always great. Now California is facing heavy natural disaster. US economy is facing heavy blow. Next victim for US would be Ausi......God bless Ausi.

Thailand's tourism officials are going to be monitoring the banking situation by doing what you are doing, reading the news.

They have absolutely nothing, at all, to do, regardless of whether a bank in whichever country fails, changes hands, or gets robbed.

The Thailand Tourism Authority is much ado about nothing.  Especially in a situation like this.
