It seems that the BBC has broken its own guidelines, they're the ones now who have brought the BBC into disrepute. What authority can the beeb claim to have now......none.

However Harry is still waiting for advice from Gary Lineker as to whether to come to King Charles Coronation or not. 😂😂😂

Ah, the power of social media. Idiocracy seems to move a step closer to reality every day.

People who use social media are fairly representative of their populations of origin (half of them being relatively stupid, half of them being relatively smart -- and that's just by definition of what it means to be stupid/smart).

Whatever opinion they (in big enough numbers) may collectively come up with can be regarded as the "voice of the people". I agree that there are some obvious dangers; for example a puppeteer can withhold facts in order to use the puppets as a tool, or release an army of vote-swingers.

Nothing new there, so I wouldn't go as far as calling it an idiocracy just because of such dangers. In a major sense, it (to be clear, that means the ability to influence decisions via social media) is the summit of what it means to be a democracy.

I really wish I could agree with that comment, but there are far too many populists out there relying on the fact that if you tell the voter what they want to hear, they will not be interested in fact-checking your claims regardless, of how outrageous they are.
