Recommended Posts

Two Pit Bulls are seriously injured after they were attacked with a meat cleaver by their owner’s neighbour, who is also his uncle, on Saturday night in Surat Thani province, southern Thailand. Late Saturday night, the Surat Thani Rescue Radio Centre received a call for help for two dogs attacked with a knife. Rescue workers …

The story Thai man attacks nephew’s 2 Pit Bulls with a meat cleaver as seen on Thaiger News.

Pit bulls are seen as aggressive because they are chosen more than other breeds to be guard dogs, fighting dogs, or simply by people who treat them badly (not saying this owner did any of those things). They are not inherently more aggressive or prone to attacking humans. They are however, very strong and if abused or trained with bad intentions, can of course do serious damage. Please stop promoting the idea that pit bulls as a breed are dangerous. Ending this story with the completely unrelated mention of the incident where the owner was mauled serves only to suggest that these dogs were somehow deserving of this monstrous attack and perpetuates stigma that causes more abuse and harm. @Thaiger

The Pit Bulls’ owner said he didn’t have money to take them for treatment.

Then he has no business having any pets... that part of the responsibility of pet owners... oh wait, this is Thailand... the land of no responsibility... never mind.
