Maybe he thinks that this is his Thailand and his personal space and is tired of tourists riding through his area invading his space and then snapped. Thank goodness I am away from the city in a housing development area as is my choice, but if you live in a place like he does as on an Island then he needs to mellow out. I tend to always explore every area myself for where ever I go (except housing development), and villages are on my radar.
