Yep she is definitely being held against her will. Ropes binding her to a chair with tape over mouth and terror in her eyes. The cops arrive and she just sits there, no ropes, no tape, no damsel in distress act.

Come on we are not that stupid.

Please speak for yourself. The scenario described is not unusual. It is called intimidation and coercion and is a common characteristic of domestic  violence situations. Violence need not be physical but can incorporate  emotional distress/ anguish. Bullies have multiple methods of acting. A person need not be  bloodied and bruised to be abused. If that were the case, teachers and religious figures would never be guilty of abuse of  people.

Really? The guy kidnapped her a knifepoint, and you expect her to make a run for it? She was probably terrified he would hunt her down, literally.

That aside- the guy is a convicted rapist, kidnapper, and uses force when he's told no. Lock him up and throw away the key - otherwise he will continue to terrorize this poor woman and no doubt many others.

So the Police arrive and she sits there during the interview and doesn't get their immediate assistance to get her away from him. ????

Come on he is supposedly an armed, violent criminal. The cops stroll in for a chat (no guns drawn against a violent offender who has kidnapped someone) and she is eating, not stressed, not needing physical assistance to escape this perp.

You are reading too much into the story.
