Smiler Posted March 6, 2023 #289293 Share Posted March 6, 2023 Should make the security guard think twice next time, all that over a bottle of water.
palooka Posted March 6, 2023 #289356 Share Posted March 6, 2023 Now that they know he is leaving in April the court case will be "maybe" just after any legitimate visa allows him to stay. Besides what does he think he will get from a security guard? Thais will close ranks now and the game is over because he accepted 50,000 from the bar owner, which will now go to the Solicitor who will then bill for more. Should have taken the 50,000 and walked.

Grumpish Posted March 7, 2023 #289508 Share Posted March 7, 2023 If he worked in Thailand as a teacher, he should know that he is on a hiding to nothing with this - the only person that will come out of it with any money is his lawyer. ChrisS Posted March 7, 2023 #289711 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Good luck with suing a (now unemployed) security guard in Thailand! Even if he wins he will get nothing and spend thousands of THB to get there. Don't suppose his Thai lawyer will tell him that though,

This guy has no honour. He took the 50,000 from the owner and still want to sue the 2 security guards. Why does the bar owner has to pay him the money if he goes legal? He deserves to be slapped. Thailand should banned him indefinitely from entering the kingdom.
