While it’s true Thais are more wary of them, fearful is perhaps overstating things. I’ve seen Thais trying to capture them on more than one occasion

These geckos are not as fearful as pit bulls which most of the Thais are having as pets in their homes.

Isn't it needed, that the gecko has to "say" 9 times "tokay", to be a lucky one? If 7 or 8, only, not that lucky?
