Recommended Posts

The Public Health Ministry has approved in principle for rapid antigen tests to be made available for the public to purchase from Bangkok clinics and pharmacies. The idea is to relieve the pressure on hospitals struggling to meet an increasing demand for PCR tests as infections rise. According to a Pattaya News report, officials will meet today to confirm the final details of the policy. Rapid antigen tests have already been approved for use in public and private hospitals, at the Bangkok Public Health Service Centre, and at community clinics. They are used to test “patients under investigation”, who report […]

Would have thought an even better idea would have been to make them available throught out the Nation, or would that simply be being too proactive for this govetnment ?

Here we go with another, useless,  garbage "fix it" scheme to send the idiots into a panic with false results the same as come from the useless RT-PCR tests! When are people catually going to wake up and see this crap for what it really is? A SCAM!

Agree with all the comments re danger of false negatives and panic etc, but buy BUY? what with, your people are on the floor with mounting debt and little or no income.
We have heard so many times in the past about how wealthy Thailand is and how much in the way of reserve funds exist and how tourism is only 20% of GDP and its loss will have little impact. However, you purchase vaccine that is a little short of useless and you want your people to pay for these tests. Come on, spend some of that massive reserve funding you are supposed to have. Give them the tests for free. Or does that funding not really exist. Is it that it’s only on paper and in real terms it actually been leant out by the banks to people that have zero chance of ever paying it back, especially now.

Some good points well made. Thailand claims so much about it’s reserves and how much it is a middle income country. It’s time to start spending some of that money to help the people who are suffering. Don’t forget this money belongs to the Thai people. It’s not something owned by the government. They are just guardians.
