And from the comely maid whose famed delights brought tragedy down on her poor mother’s head, not a word has been heard.

Screw news (after all: who cares?) Writing a miniature gutter novel ending with a tantalizing mystery is so much better. Looking forward to the sequel.

Very sad she may have been driven to this result.

My attention was particularly drawn to the following statement.

but with the Royal Thai Police on her tail, and not a single baht in her pocket, there could be no escape from the ever-spinning wheel of justice.

Sounds a bit Pink Panther. TIT 🙃

Hopefully she gets a descent lawyer who is able to convince the courts of justifiable self-defence.   But again this is Thailand where the males animal tends to get away with spousal abuse. You know,  the old “man of the house” thing.    Yeah….shoot your wife for divorcing your lame ass and get a 2 year sentence and a 5000 baht fine.   Where was the RTP when she was being beaten and abused ?

Hiring someone to murder someone is never self defense - no matter how you try to dress it. While her husband may be (we don't actually know) guilty of abusing her - she is definitely guilty of premeditated murder. Ironically if she's done the deed herself she might be able to claim fear for her life and self defense, but not if she planned it.

You sound like an SJW.  Are you seriously defending someone murder? And this is not self defense, you should look up the definition of self defense.
Yes I am sure there are husbands that shoot their wives and only get two years in prison...keep fabricating stories.
